A government advisory panel yesterday released its recommendations for the UK’s list of occupations experiencing skill shortages and some of it makes for interesting reading! The Migration Advisory Committee, which was set up to assist the government transition to its new points based immigration system, has said ballerinas, sheep shearers and racehorse trainersare in high need alongside more traditional areas.
In demand are IT workers,maths and science teachers, skilled chefs, civil and chemical engineers, veterinary surgeons, quantity surveyors and projects managers for property development and construction.
